Keegan Sage Bufkin 7/18/2009 3:25PM

Well, God blessed us with Keegan on July 18th, 2009 at 3:25 PM. Keegan Sage Bufkin was born at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock, TX. He was definitely a big baby. He weighed 9.6 lbs and was 21 in long. Everyone is doing well. Here are some pics of the big day. Thanks for all your prayers and support.

We are getting there!!!

The room is complete, the clothes are washed, the overnight bags are ALMOST completely packed. We are READY! I THINK... The Doctor did a sonogram at our 36 week visit and he thinks Keegan is already 8lbs 8 oz. with four weeks to go - Needless to say, I will most likely be having a c-section. I am just hoping that Keegan comes early. I don't know if I can take 4 more weeks of this. We went to Albany, Tx last weekend to the Fandangle and did alot of walking my feet were sooooooo swollen and it was HOT! We have decided to stay home for the 4th of July - just in case!!!!

I have less that 40 days to go ---- how many weeks does that make me????

OkaY! oKAY! I know I haven't been updating this thing lately, but I have been busy. We have been preparing for Keegan (buying new cars etc...) and helping out my in-laws (Larry had a knee replacement and then Neva had a lung biopsy) and working part-time. Can you believe I have less than 7 weeks to go, not to mention he's coming 2 weeks early (I think) and I have not gotten the room together!?!? So not like me - I would have had it completed months ago. Shelby is in charge of the last few things 1. put the crib together 2. paint 3.install baby monitor. I have already packed an hospital bag for Keegan, placed the car seat and stroller in my car and washed all of Keegan's clothes! They still need to be hung up. Not much has changed... It is becoming uncomfortable to sleep and I am HOT at all times. I have yet to experience this BURST of energy they say you get in the last trimester. I go to the Doctor Monday... Maybe I will have some exciting news after that ... Like a new due date!

32.5 weeks

I haven't updated in a while, b/c I have been SUPER BUSY! Last time I went to the doctor - I had my weight issue back under control! We had a sonogram - Keegan's head and tummy are measuring 5 weeks ahead of schedule and he is already 5 lbs ( at 30 week checkup). He is going to be a big boy, or his due date/conception date are off. I had two showers and got all sorts of good stuff. This baby is ready for whatever comes his way with all the stuff he got! I have returned my 2 door honda accord and should pick up my soccer mom car this weekend - a 2007 Nissan Armada (silver). I love it - it has navigation, DVD, back up camera - all the bell's and whistles a family car needs! I go to the doctor Monday and I have a feeling he may move my due date up.

7 months!

Not much longer to go! I went to the Doctor Monday and he said I gained too much weight last month and the month before. So, I have to be careful with what I eat. He is the weight Natzi!!! Everything looks good on May 20th we go back for our third and final sonogram! Then we go to the doctor every 3 weeks after that. I am getting some maternity pictures made today and have been working on getting the room together. I painted a changing table that my sister gave me and it looks good! We went this past weekend to PK Lake to visit with our friends from Austin (Brena, Paul, Melinda, and Kyle). Within the next month I will have two showers and get a new Car!!! Lots of excitement to come! In the news right now... Swine Flu! I hope to stay away from it!

26 weeks!

Shelby and I took a birthing class this weekend - all day 9-5. He was not thrilled about it, but I am very happy that he participated and learned as much as I did! Keegan has started kicking more often and with more strength... I have decided this is my favorite part, so far, about being pregnant. Well, that and how GREAT everything taste now that I am no longer having any morning sickness! If you had told me during the first trimester I would be eating like this at the last trimester... I would not have believed you! Tummy is still growing and belly button looks like it is going to turn into an "out"ty at any moment. I will try to have Shelby help me post sonogram pics and pics of me soon! Only 14 weeks left to go!!! I can't wait to meet him!

6 months!!!!

Not too much longer to go. It is difficult to bend down and pick things up now. My back hurts when I get up in the morning. I go to the doctor again in about 3 weeks. I got all registered at babies r us and target this past weekend with help from my mom and friend, Maria. I started my job and that has been nice, because I was beginning to get bored some. Shelby has been very busy with work, which is giving me anxiety b/c we have 6 days to do our taxes - they aren't done yet!!! Keegan is kicking more and more often and I love it - it makes me giggle, it kind of tickles!

23 weeks

So... It took me forever to discover "flutters" to me they felt more like tiny thumps from inside my belly. But now I am feeling kicks or punches, which you can feel from the outside - Shelby even got to feel it this morning! It is very exciting! This is my last week before I go back to work for a while. I have been getting lots of reading done. We met a nice couple at Church yesterday and she is a speech therapist at the elementary in town (small world).

22 weeks!

We are all settled in Snyder. I will start a job at a nursing home working 20 hours a week April 7th. Went to my New Dr. in Lubbock today. I really liked him and his nurse. He is the doctor who delivered Sheryl Schwoops baby (basketball player for Texas Tech -years ago)! This past week my mom came to visit in Snyder and we met Christi Sollis (Shelby's Cousin) in Midland for some shopping. Found my bedding fabrics for the baby's room, which my mom is going to try to make! The week before that I went to PK to see my parents and my neice, Gracie. I am almost 6 months and I have already gained 15 lbs -ugh!!! We are planning to go to PK this weekend to see Michael and Tracy Walden! I ordered my crib this week and a diaper bag!

19 weeks!

We had a sonogram on Tuesday. It's a boy!!!! Keegan Sage Bufkin. It was soooo neat to see him on the sonogram. He was moving around. He looks like he may have my nose and shelby's chin!
I can't wait to meet him. Shelby and I went shopping for cute maternity clothes. That was fun! We also packed up, closed on our house and are in the process of moving in to Snyder!

18 weeks!

We are in Colorado! I have been able to relax and take it easy. I have been shopping, and reading. Today I go to get a pregnancy massage. I have been feeling great, other than a little congestion. My BELLY IS GROWING DAILY!!! Still no movement - that I have noticed. Hopefully soon! Next Tuesday we find out the gender. Most of my close friends feel like it's a girl, but people who don't know me very well seem to think it's a boy! We will have to wait and see. Yesterday was my 31st birthday. We went to Vail and bowling!

Growing and Glowing

Well... it's official... I am showing.  2 random people asked me today if I am expecting, so it is OFFICIAL!  In addition to that, I have been having brain farts.   The other day I poured a glass of milk into a glass that I was holding upside down - milk went everywhere.  I got a good laugh!  I have also passed exits and put ice cream in the fridge instead of the freezer.  Where has my brain gone?

4 months!!!

Went to the Doctor today!   Baby's heart rate was 158 bpm.  My blood pressure was 102/70.  I am almost back to the weight I was at on the 4 week visit.  My allergies are gone, and so is the morning sickness.  The doctor says I could start to feel fluttering any day now!  March 3 we go back and find out if the baby is a boy or a girl?!?!?!?!  Any guesses?

15 weeks

Not much new this week. Feeling good, eating well and growing belly. Beginning to outgrow my clothes. Will need to do some shopping!!! Our house sold after 7 days on the market and we are getting everything taken care of to move early in March! Have found some prospective speech jobs in Snyder and Colorado city! I go to the Doctor on Tuesday, hope to have more to update at that time. Shelby' s mom has been in the hospital the past week, he will probably go be with them soon. We hope she is feeling better and home soon!

13weeks and historical events!

Yesterday marked 13 weeks and President Barack Obama took office. He's been in office a day and already lots of "CHANGE". I am able to eat without much difficulty - in fact - everything looks good to me food wise. My tummy is getting harder and rounder. It feels weird or different to lie on my tummy - not like it use to feel. This past weekend our friends thru us a going away party. Monday we went out for Sushi, yummi!!! I had a vege roll and a california roll. Sushi is the one thing I REALLY miss eating! We put our house on the market "for sale by owner" this weekend! Keep your fingers crossed it sells quickly. Shelby's last day at work was yesterday. I feel like my face may be clearing up a little as well. Wow! What a difference Obama has made already, or maybe this is just the beginning of the 2nd trimester!

12 Weeks!

Today I am 12 weeks pregnant! I went to the Doctor yesterday and everything is well. The baby's heartrate was 164 bpm. The only concern was that I have lost 5 pounds in 4 weeks because of being nauseated and having NO appetite. But that seems to be getting a little bit better with time. I think I am starting to get a baby bump!

11 weeks

I felt well for 4 1/2 days! I thought maybe I was done with the sick phase, but that wasn't the case. I am able to go to the grocery store and eat with more ease! I go to the doctor again on Monday!!! I may be starting to show a little baby bump.
